Three in the afternoon, and the light is only beginning to change. An open pavilion with sofas, a long wooden table and a bar counter, hanging on the very edge of the valley, open until eleven.
The list runs from the classics to the bar’s own signatures: Hidden Harmony on gin and fresh herbs, Golden Horizon (a rum take on the mule with ginger and caramel), Azure Sunset, Mango Paradise, Pineapple Bloom with rosella. There are proper mocktails for anyone not drinking, and a cellar of white, rosé, red and sparkling wine by the bottle.
If you only come once, come between five and seven. The bar faces the sunset the same way the restaurant does, and this is the best seat in the house for it.
When the sun has gone you drift down here without quite deciding to. The light is low, the sofa is deeper than you expected, and the evening slows to the pace of the conversation.

Ancient Songlines
You look up from your drink and someone in a gold headdress looks back. The lounge holds an exhibition by Taralynn Disher, a Canadian photographer who lives in Bali and shoots its ceremonial life: temple processions, dancers, children waiting for their turn.
The photographs hang where you drink your cocktail, not in a gallery. All of them can be bought. Ask the staff.

- Open to visitors as well as hotel guests.
- Food comes from the Sunset Point kitchen next door, so the full menu is available at the bar.
